Poets Breakfast Woodenbong is part of a circuit of Poets Breakfasts that have emerged all over the Northern NSW coast and into Gold Coast.
I was lucky to meet Vincent Stead who humbly calls himself the “chairman” and who co-ordinated them all from his van where he lives like a nomad as do a few other poet nomads traveling from town to town like the new era of nomadic gypsies.
He attached Woodenbong to the circuit. This has given this tiny town a profile which is now my responsibility to keep going once a month.
It has been surprisingly popular post lockdown with poets travelling from Tenterfield and the Gold Coast to read their poetry open mic style.
It is an ongoing event which we write about after the gathering in the local free newspaper Richmond Valley Independent.
