The release of my first single is with gyrostream an Australian based distributor.

I created this single composed of two tracks to speak to the heart of the current crisis on our planet.

The soundtrack for track one was rescued off an old DAT recording I created with Gary Fletcher in the early days of home studios in the early to mid nineties.

Originally it was inspired by a comment my mother made as she was dying of a rare blood cancer.

She used to say “my sap is zapped”

I never found the verses to the song so it remained a chorus for thirty years until 2021 when I heard all the verses one day while I was in the shower.

Like many of my poems songs and writings it meta morphed into the 21 century to become the vampire talking in all of our lives.

The second track was a poem inspired by a dream before 1984 and published in both of my poetry book editions called “Visions of a New Kind”.

It was recorded as a spoken word with a soundscape in 2021 with Brett Hamlyn a local home studio in Kyogle.

Over the last twenty years as I began to wake up to what the dream I called “The Promise” was telling me I created the door painting from my 2018 book launch.

This painting propped up against my garage door is the photo that I have chosen as the artwork for the single cover.
